The Journey
Aswan – Kom Ombo – Gebel El-Silsila
Your journey begins in Aswan at 9:00 AM, when you will meet our representative at your chosen pickup point, whether your hotel, airport, or train station. You will then be transferred to the Queen Nefer Dahabiya to begin your Nile cruise. Upon boarding, enjoy a traditional welcome drink as you settle in and meet the crew. Set sail toward Kom Ombo, where you will visit the impressive Greco-Roman double temple dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile-headed god, and Horus the Elder. After exploring the temple, return to the dahabiya and enjoy lunch onboard as you continue sailing along the Nile. Later, continue toward Gebel El-Silsila, a fascinating archaeological area known for its ancient sandstone quarries and rock-cut tombs. After exploring the site, return to the dahabiya for dinner and an overnight stay near Gebel El-Silsila.
Edfu – Besaw Island
Enjoy breakfast onboard as the dahabiya sails northward through the peaceful Nile scenery. Continue to Edfu for a guided visit to the magnificent Temple of Horus, one of Egypt’s most impressive and best-preserved ancient temples. Explore its remarkable architecture and learn about the history of this important Greco-Roman sanctuary before returning to the boat. After your visit, enjoy lunch onboard and spend some relaxing time on the sundeck as the dahabiya continues sailing past traditional Nile villages and picturesque riverside landscapes. In the evening, arrive at Besaw Island, where you can enjoy dinner onboard or a barbecue beneath the stars. Relax in the peaceful surroundings and spend the night onboard the dahabiya.
El Kab – Esna
After breakfast onboard, continue sailing toward El Kab, the ancient city of Nekheb. Upon arrival, visit the fascinating rock-cut tombs, which feature beautifully preserved scenes depicting daily life and ancient Egyptian beliefs about the afterlife. Return to the dahabiya and enjoy lunch while sailing toward Esna. As you approach the town, take in the changing scenery along the Nile before arriving in Esna, where you will have time to explore the local markets or simply relax onboard. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner beneath the night sky, marking the final evening of your dahabiya journey. Spend your last night onboard before disembarkation the following morning.
Esna – Luxor – Disembarkation
After breakfast onboard, disembark from the Queen Nefer Dahabiyaa in Esna, bringing your Nile cruise experience to an end. You will then be transferred privately to Luxor. The journey is approximately 50 km and takes around one hour by road. Your services will end at approximately 11:00 AM upon arrival in Luxor.
Luxor – Esna – El Kab
Your journey begins at 9:00 AM when you will meet our representative at your chosen address in Luxor. Enjoy a private transfer to Esna, approximately 50 km south of Luxor, where you will board the elegant Queen Nefer Dahabiya and begin your Nile sailing experience. Upon arrival, enjoy a traditional welcome drink as you settle into your cabin. You will then visit the Temple of Esna and take a leisurely stroll through the local markets, experiencing the atmosphere of this historic Nile town. After your visit, begin sailing toward El Kab, the ancient city of Nekheb. The area is known for its fascinating temple ruins and rock-cut tombs, offering an introduction to the ancient sites along this quieter stretch of the Nile. In the evening, enjoy dinner on the sundeck or along the riverbank beneath the stars before the dahabiya moors beside a peaceful Nile island for the night.
El Kab – Edfu – Ramadi Island
Enjoy breakfast onboard before visiting the ruins of Nekheb Temple and exploring more of the ancient city of El Kab. After the visit, return to the dahabiya and begin sailing toward Edfu, watching the landscape gradually change from golden desert dunes to lush palm groves along the Nile. In Edfu, enjoy a guided visit to the remarkably preserved Temple of Horus, where the ancient worship of the falcon-headed god played an important role in the temple’s religious traditions. Explore its impressive halls, walls, and monumental architecture before returning to the dahabiya. Lunch will be served onboard as you continue sailing southward through the peaceful Nile scenery. Later, arrive at Ramadi Island, where dinner will be served either onboard or along the quiet riverbanks. Spend the night onboard surrounded by the tranquility of the Nile.
Gebel El-Silsila – Maniha
Relax over breakfast on deck as the dahabiya sails toward Gebel El-Silsila, one of the most fascinating archaeological areas along the Nile. Upon arrival, explore the ancient sandstone quarries and discover rock-cut chapels and shrines associated with pharaohs including Seti I, Ramesses II, Merenptah, and Horemheb. The site also preserves traces of the ancient quarrying activities that supplied sandstone for many of Egypt’s most important temples. Take time to explore this remarkable landscape before returning to the dahabiya. Enjoy lunch on deck while sailing toward Maniha. As the day comes to an end, relax onboard and enjoy dinner before spending the night moored at Maniha.
Kom Ombo – El Herdiab Island – Aswan
After breakfast, continue sailing toward Kom Ombo for a guided visit to its unique dual temple, dedicated to Sobek and Horus the Elder. Famous for its symmetrical design and distinctive riverside setting, the temple offers a fascinating glimpse into the religious traditions of ancient Egypt. After exploring Kom Ombo, return to the dahabiya and continue sailing toward Aswan. Enjoy the peaceful scenery as the boat passes between traditional Nile villages. Spend the afternoon relaxing on the sundeck or in the lounge area while taking in the tranquil river views. As the sun begins to set, enjoy a memorable dinner experience either around a riverside campfire or onboard the dahabiya, moored near El Herdiab Island. Spend your final night onboard surrounded by the peaceful atmosphere of the Nile.
Aswan – Disembarkation
Enjoy your final breakfast onboard as your 5-day dahabiya journey comes to an end. After breakfast, disembark in Aswan and continue with a private transfer to your chosen destination, whether your hotel, airport, or train station. Your services will end upon transfer.
